Use of Funds

NCFL takes seriously its responsibility to individuals and organizations who provide financial support as well as its responsibility to the families who rely on its services. As a result, NCFL adheres to the highest standards for fiscal responsibility. Independent charity evaluators regularly suggest expenses allocated to program services should exceed 65%. NCFL historically exceeds this number, and dedicated more than 80% of expenses to program services in the past fiscal year.

Choosing to support NCFL is an important decision and a strong investment in the economic and educational well-being of families.

NCFL makes wise use of every donation:

  • NCFL spends less than 2% of its annual budget on fundraising.
  • NCFL was one of the first organizations to earn the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance Seal of Approval. For more information about the National Charity Seal Program, click here
  • NCFL was named “One of 10 Charities Most Likely to Save the World” by Worth magazine
