Engineering is Elementary Project
This week’s Big Deal Book Newsletter featured a story about Engineering is Elementary (EiE) [http://www.mos.org/eie/index.php], a series of stories written by the staff at the Boston Museum of Science. Here’s a synopsis of the program: “Throughout each book, the lead character is faced with a challenge in his or her own world or daily life that can be solved through engineering. Adult relatives or neighbors involved in engineering offer perspectives from their own work—but it is always the young engineer who uses the Engineering Design Process to create his or her own solution to the challenge.” Check out the site for the engineers in your life.
