2013 Toyota Teacher of the Year Award
Congratulations to Carolyn Blocker of Long Beach, CA! Blocker has worked for the past seven years to improve the lives of more than 300 families as a parent education teacher at the Long Beach School for Adults.

Litera-Seeds Mini-Grants
Litera-Seeds is a mini-grant opportunity also sponsored by Toyota. Twenty mini-grants of $500 each have been awarded for educator-led programs and events that emphasize intergenerational participation and learning. Click here to see the winning organizations.

NCFL is proud to have recently announced the 2012 Libraries and Families Award winners made possible by Better World Books:
- Columbus Metropolitan Library, Columbus, OH
- Providence Public Library, Providence, RI
- Salinas Public Library, Salinas, CA
These three library literacy programs have won $10,000 each and scholarships to the National Conference on Family Literacy in 2012 and 2013.
