Through the words of current and former family literacy students, the National Center for Family Literacy hopes to inspire other parents to begin their own educational journey. These stories also can encourage parents who are enrolled in programs to continue their journey.
Through these success stories, NCFL will be able to share how students have grown through their family literacy experiences, and how family literacy programs have left a positive impact on them and their families. NCFL will use these success stories in publications and articles, on its Web site and in letters to promote family literacy. These stories prove the effectiveness of family literacy and that lives can be changed when family literacy programs and resources are available.
If you are a student, please consider submitting your personal story. Your story will help build an archive of family literacy’s success, and by doing so, you help build family literacy’s future. To submit your story, click here.
If you are a staff member in a family literacy program, please encourage your students to submit their stories. We are only accepting stories submitted by the students themselves.
